Replying and Managing Threads
The ability to update fields like Status, Deadline, and Assigned To while replying is a game-changer for project momentum. You aren’t just sending a message; you are actively managing the task’s lifecycle. By replying within a thread rather than starting a new email, you preserve the Contextual Integrity of the issue. New team members or approvers can scroll down to see the entire history—from the original query to the latest attachment—ensuring no one is ever “out of the loop.”
- Click on a communication to open the message thread.
- In the message view, click the Reply option located at the top right corner of the message box
- The Compose Mail side panel will open
- Enter your response in the message editor
- You can update the fields Communication Type, Recipients (To / Cc), Subject, Assigned To and Deadline, Status, Priority, Tags, and Type and Documents.
- Click Send to submit your response
