Task Linking

Most tasks depend on others. Linking tasks establishes these relationships. Types of Links

• Start to Start (SS)
• Finish to Start (FS)
• Start to Finish (SF)
• Finish to Finish (FF)

Link Tasks

Using the Task Information Window

1. Double-click the task to open Task Information.
2. Go to the Predecessors tab.
3. Click Add, select the dependent task, choose the link type.
4. Click Save.

Drag and Drop

Drag from the start or end of one task bar to another to auto-create links.

Using the Toolbar

1. Select multiple tasks
2. Click Link from the toolbar. This creates a Finish-to-Start link automatically.

Unlink Tasks

You can remove task links in the following ways:

Using the Task Information Dialog

1. Open Task Information.
2. Go to Predecessors.
3. Select the link.
4. Press Delete.
5. Click Save.

Using the Link Information Dialog

1. Double-click the link line between two tasks.
2. This will open the Link Information Dialog.
3. Click Delete.

Using the Toolbar

1. Select the tasks.
2. Click Unlink Tasks from the toolbar.
