Methvin Desktop Shortcut

To access the Methvin Application go to portal.methvin.org

To create a desktop shortcut to Methvin using Google Chrome, go to the Methvin website and click the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of your browser window. Then go to More tools > Create shortcut. Finally, name your shortcut and click Create.

Create a new Estimate

Organize your folders, projects and apps in Methvin

To organize your files in Methvin, you can create folders to make files easier to find and share with others.

Note: If you organize a lot of files or folders at once, it might take time for the changes to appear.

Create an Estimate project

1. On your computer, go to portal.methvin.org. Portal Home page
2. On the left, click New > Estimate.
3. Enter a name for the project.
4. Click Create.

Create, move & copy files

Create a folder

1. On your computer, go to portal.methvin.org.
2. On the left, click New > Folder.
3. Enter a name for the folder.
4. Click Create.

Move folders, files or projects

1. From the Home Page, at portal.methvin.org.
2. On the left, click Apps.
3. In the center go to App File Structure.
4. Right-click the folder or file to open the context menu
5. Select Move to option
6. Select the new location.
7. Click Move.

Important: To move a file, you must have permission to move the file from the source to the destination, otherwise the file won’t be moved.

There are multiple ways to open or move to a new folder. You can do this while you access an item from:

• The main window
• The left panel
• Methvin search results

Delete a file or folder

1. On your computer, go to portal.methvin.org.
2. Inside the App File Structure form
3. Right-click the file or folder you want to delete.
4. Click Remove.

If you accidentally put an item in the archive, you can restore your item.
