8. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I edit a package after it has been sent?
Yes. Open the sent package and use the Edit button on Contract Information, or the tick boxes and Add buttons on Submission Criteria, to update the record, and Documents to add or replace files. None of this automatically reaches recipients who already have the original, though — use Add Addendum on the RFT & Addenda tab to notify them of the change.
Can I add recipients to a package after it has been sent?
Yes. Open the Trades panel from Recipients & Submissions and select the new company or contact, the same way you did in Step 2 when composing the package — it isn’t done through the Mail tab, which is for correspondence with a trade or tenderer already on the package.
What’s the difference between Submit, Intend to Respond, and Decline?
Intend to Respond only signals that you plan to price the work, and moves the sender’s Status for you from Pending to Will Price — it doesn’t send any answers or documents. Submit sends your completed response and is only enabled once every item on Submission Criteria has been answered. Decline tells the sender you won’t be responding at all.
Why can’t I click Submit on a package I’ve received?
Submit stays disabled until every Submittal Requirement and every Requested Document on the Submission Criteria tab has an answer. Open that tab and check for any item that’s still unanswered.
What do the icons on Recipients & Submissions mean?
The Status badge moves from Pending to Will Price once a recipient clicks Intend to Respond. In the Progress column, a folder icon turns yellow once the recipient has opened the mail, and a checkmark turns from grey to green once they’ve submitted their response — click it to open their latest submission.
Do all recipients see the same Cover Letter and requirements?
Yes. Everyone added as a recipient in Step 2 receives the same package — the same cover letter, attachments, Submittal Requirements, and Requested Documents.
Can I attach a file that’s already in the project’s Files section?
Yes. In Step 3, use “CLICK HERE to upload from correspondence app” to browse the project workspace and select an existing file instead of uploading a new copy from your device.
