Audit Trail

What Is Recorded

Every action taken in the application is permanently recorded, including:

  • All messages and replies, with timestamps and authors.
  • Status and ownership changes.
  • File uploads, downloads, and previews (where logging is enabled).
  • Reminders sent and received.
  • Permission changes.

How to Use the Audit Trail

The audit trail is visible at the bottom of every RFI as an activity log, and is also exportable as part of the Activity Report. It supports three important purposes: full accountability for project actions, dispute resolution where there is disagreement about what was communicated and when, and a contractual record that may be referenced during claims or close-out.

Retention

Audit records cannot be edited or deleted by users. Records are retained for the lifetime of the project and beyond, in line with your organisation’s data retention policies. Administrators can export the full audit history for archival purposes at any time.
