Term | Definition |

Assigned To | The person or company currently responsible for the next action on an RFI. |
Audit Trail | The permanent record of every action taken on an RFI. |
Ball-in-Court | The party that owes the next action; the application’s term for current ownership of an item. |
Closed | An RFI status indicating the question is fully resolved. |
Correspondence | Any communication captured within the application, including RFI replies and internal notes. |
Dashboard | The home screen showing live project metrics and items requiring attention. |
Draft | An RFI status indicating the item is saved but not yet sent. |
Internal Note | A message visible only to a user’s own team. |
Mention | Tagging a user with @ to draw their attention to a thread. |
Open | An RFI status indicating the item has been sent and is awaiting a response. |
Overdue | An RFI whose due date has passed without a response. |
Reminder | A nudge sent to encourage a response. |
Reopened | An RFI status indicating a previously closed item has been reactivated. |
Response Pending | An RFI status indicating a reply has been received and is awaiting further action. |
RFI | Request for Information — a formal question raised by one party to another. |
Saved Filter | A stored combination of filter criteria for quick re-use. |
Tag | A short label applied to an RFI to assist with filtering and reporting. |
Withdrawn (custom status) | An RFI status indicating the item was cancelled by the originator. |
